| Installation: MoveFile error 2 while renaming the file "quitapp.exe" |
Symptom:
In rare cases the following message appears during the installation of the MS Office Interface:
"An error occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory::
MoveFile failed; code 2.
The system cannot find the file specified."
Description:
This error is caused by a false alarm of realtime virus scanners. Those scanners monitor all file operations
and automatically deletes files which are potentially suspect. During the installation of the
MS Office Interface for HTBasic a file called "quitapp.exe" is installed. This file
will be used for closing down MS Office programs (like Excel) from within HTBasic. The file "quitapp.exe"
contains a Windows API function which can be used to shut down Windows programs and is completely
harmless.
Solution:
Deactivate your realtime virus scanner during the installation of the MS Office Interface software.

Fatal Error in SUB Dde_start: DLL system driver version does not match HTBasic library 'htbdde.lib' |
Symptom:
In very rare cases the following message appears when you start one of the examples of the MS Office Interface:
"Fatal Error in SUB Dde_start:
DLL system driver version does not match HTBasic library 'htbdde.lib'.
DLL version: 1.x HTBasic library version: 2.x"
Description:
The MS Office Interface for HTBasic uses two library files:
'htbdde.dll' and 'htbdde.lib'. The version numbers of both files must match.
If they do not match it suggests that the installation has not finished sucessfully. This error
can happen if you have updated your existing MS Office Interface installation from an older version and
the installation of this update was not finished sucessfully, most likely caused by realtime virus scanners.
Solution:
Deactivate your realtime virus scanner during the installation of the MS Office Interface software.
